3.1 Pre-event asynchronous work

  1. Each participant contributes a case study
  2. A team member is assigned as mentor to guide the participant in framing her case study
  3. Participants work in pairs to refine their cases.

3.2 On the day

  2. Case study development
    1. Each pair presents their case study to the group
    2. Group discussion to identify seed patterns
  3. Pattern elicitation
    1. Each team member elaborates a single seed pattern
    2. Work in pairs to refine patterns
    3. Each pair presents their patterns to the group
    4. Group discussion to spot weaknesses and highlight links
  4. Reflection and planning
    1. Identify patterns for further work and assign authors
    2. How should the process be improved for the next workshop?
    3. How do the tool need to be improved?

3.3 Post-eventĀ  asynchronous work

  1. Participants add missing detail to clarify their case studies for novice readers.
  2. Participant refine their patterns with the guidance of their mentors.
  3. Team members reflect on the methods and outcomes.
