pStruct: A unified ontology for patterns and pattern languages

Pattern initiatives define various structures and templates for patterns and pattern languages. Obviously, it would be impossible, and counter-productive to try and impose a common structure on all communities. Yet in order to facilitate interoperability we need a "lingua franca" of patterns.

Process

  • Develop a scheme (n.b. a semantic wiki would have been a better medium for this)
  • Engage the wider community and agree on a procedure for standardization
