JISC formative e-assessment 2nd practical Enquiry Day, October 2nd
This is the second Practical Enquiry Day (PED) which is being organized as part of the project Scoping a vision for formative e-assessment which is funded as part of the JISC e-Learning Programme. The project was launched at the first PED on 3 July 2008, and involves scoping current practices involving formative e-assessment, and building ‘cases’ where formative assessment is being supported by the use of a variety of electronic tools. Most of the day will be spent building cases of e-assessment in practice and considering the key patterns which emerge. To register for this event, or for any inquiries, please contact Sarah Gelcich s.gelcich@ioe.ac.uk project administrator.

Outcomes
We have generated 6 case stories on or before the day, and have identified several patterns, which we will publish on the system over the coming days. Photos from the day are on Flickr, and our sketches have been added to the Eureka! game group.Presentations
Caroline Daly: Key issues from the literature
Harvey Mellar: Frameworks for conceptualising formative e-Assessment
Harvey presented a synthesis of Laurillard's conversational framework and MisLevy's four process model. Due to technical and IP issues, we cannot include these presentations, but hope to do so soon.Yishay Mor: How to write a case study
