Workshop 2
Time and Date: 10.00h to 16.00, Tuesday 4th November 2008 Location: Room 10.05, Claremont Tower, Newcastle University Maps: Agenda: The Pattern Language Network project (Planet) is running a second workshop around the experiences arising from CETL ALiC. Prior to the workshop please go back to the case studies you entered on the Planet Wiki and try to focus on a particular incident of the practice you described which was successful at solving a problem or challenge you were facing. At the moment all of the cases are quite broad ranging and cover most of the work package. What we would like you to do now is to home in on one or maybe two specific elements of these which worked well. Then tell us the story of that particular bit - what the problemwas, what you did, what happened. The story can be put in as another case study on the Wiki.To register, or for any inquiries, please contact:

Workshop 1
Time and Date: 10.00h to 16.00, Monday 21st July 2008 Location: Room C409D, Civic Quarter, Leeds Metropolitan University Maps: Directions to Civic QUarter, Leeds Metropolitan University Agenda: Schedule for the day The Pattern Language Network project (Planet) is running a one day workshop in Leeds, 21st July, around the experiences arising from CETL ALiC. Prior to attending the workshop people are requested to use this platform to enter at least one case study for their involvment in CETL ALiC activities. Case studies are a light touch view of key elements such as group formation, peer assessment, creating communities of practice, cross site student collaboration and so forth; examples of the level of detail can be seen by looking at existing case studies. In this workshop we will focus on the activities within CETL ALiC with a view to identifying good practice to be expressed as patterns. The workshop will be driven by your user contributed case studies. These cases will be discussed in groups, through which design patterns will be extracted and elaborated and scenarios developed. To register, or for any inquiries, please contact:- Janet Finlay j.finlay@leedsmet.ac.uk
